It’s an inside joke and you have to be a designer to understand it; that is what we are doing with CTRL+G: Ibadan Design Meet, a small and intimate event for designers to geek out a bit.

This time, with the CTRL+G WKSHP we are creating a deeper dive event where visual designers, UI/UX people and devs get to hear Good Case Practices, funny stories and general lessons from a senior product designer over drinks, a relaxed and smaller crowd with a more cozy ambience.

Ibadan is a great place to live and work, we want it to be even better and we believe that by having a community of like minds who know and work with each other frequently, we can create positive change through design in Ibadan and beyond.

Join us for the 3rd edition of CTRL+G and the 1st CTRL+G WKSP by 2pm on October 27, 2019 at FourthCanvas HQ, New Bodija, Ibadan.

We will be hosting 25 designers only!

Deep Dive

Join Aluko Brown, the senior designer at FourthCanvas as he shares practical tips, funny stories and lessons in his journey as a Product Designer for 4C. There will be spaces for other designers who wish to share their stories about designing for Tech products to our audience.

The WKSHP will be more technical than our earlier meetups and will focus on designers who currently design for tech and younger designers who wish to take this path.

GCPs

While this is a wkshp, it will be informal in typical CTRL+G style. Designers will share Good Case Practices on how they design for Tech products on a professional level, manage personal and professional relationships, deadlines, mental health and more

We will also have GCPs on how designers and Project Managers manage their physical and virtual teams while working full time or freelancing.

UPDATES

At our last meetup in May, we announced Brand Ibadan and Ami as well as our plans to decentralize the planning and organization of CTRL+G.

We will give the community updates about the projects as well as unveil the new members of the team. We will also share details of our GCPs, our challenges and other updates for the rest of the year.

At the wkshp, we will have some free drinks and chow which will be given to the first arrivals on a first come, first served basis. Drinks and chow are courtesy of Purple Dragon!
